Having a dedicated focus on employee wellness and engagement has never been more important. Studies show that companies with engaged employees outperform those without by 202%, and that highly engaged businesses benefit from a 10% increase in customer ratings and a 20% increase in sales. Engagement is more than ping pong tables and free lunches.
As we emerge from COVID-19, employee engagement will play a critical role in how employers recover, and how employees respond to their new working environments.
Companies are now expanding their support for programs addressing issues such as stress management, sleep improvement and resiliency, as well as supporting mental health programs for employees.
Employees are choosing to work at companies that care about their well-being. That’s not going to change after the COVID-19 crisis is over; it will only intensify. The majority of new employees are more open and aware of mental and physical health.
Today's employees require support to combat the stress of work, on top of health and personal crises and challenges they may be facing. In the past, many employee wellness programs only focused on health and fitness. We now know that more is needed to help people thrive, including how the organization itself is adding to the work-related stress its people are feeling.
That is where experiential Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) can help. EAL is groundwork (non-riding) work with a horse. It has been studied and reported on a great deal in the last decade. The benefits of objective based EAL are many. Below are some of the beneficial outcomes of experiential equine assisted learning:
Participants work with horses on the ground for 1 hour 45 minutes completing various obstacles designed for each stated objective. It is through the non-riding interaction that participants gain these beneficial outcomes.
The most beneficial outcome is a sense of peace from working with a horse. This program is sure to be at the top of every employee's list when it comes to wellness and engagement programs.
Our Employee Wellness and Engagement Program is a unique and innovative way for companies to support their employees.
