Equine Assisted Learning empowers each student to discover their true abilities and focus on social emotional learning which ultimately helps to build confidence and improve academics.
Our horses and facility provide the perfect environment for experiential learning and allow each student to build confidence while making real-life connections between math and science.
Our students develop life long learning skills through reflective journaling after each session, and have opportunities to share their favorite books with their equine friends.
Our program is for 3rd through 8th grade students looking for a fun, interactive after school program that develops friendships and confidence all while feeling a sense of accomplishment in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our NON-RIDING Equine Assisted Learning utilizes horses and their unique communication style to reinforce social emotional learning skills such as: communication, confidence, listening skills, collaboration, empathy, problem solving, adaptability, trust, and resiliency. Each weekly lesson focuses on one objective and builds on the previous lessons creating a framework of life skills for each student.
Each session will conduct a Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math lesson with our horses. Each lesson is designed to reinforce math and science concepts covered in the classroom and allow students to make connections to real life and build confidence in academics!
Our "Take the Lead" program meets for 2 hours once a week for 6 weeks Tuesdays or Thursdays from 4-6pm.
Please send us a note if you are interested in fall 2021 classes.
