Become a Volunteer!

If you're interested in making a difference in the community, please consider volunteering your skills and time! At the bottom of this page there’s a brief form we ask you to complete and submit, informing us of your interests and availability.

Horse care experience is not necessary to become an Equus CAN Educate volunteer. You will never be asked to do anything you feel uncomfortable doing. We provide training for any and all tasks!

Grants Writer

Equus CAN Educate is looking for a volunteer to help with identifying grant opportunities and with grant writing that will enable us to:

  • Expand programs
  • Fund the continued care of our horses
  • Offer scholarships to low income families and individuals

Exemplary written communication skills are a must.

  • Location: Remote
  • Weekly hours: Flexible
  • Grant writing experience is necessary

Special Events Coordinator

Our Current Volunteer Needs

Special Events Coordinator

Equus CAN Educate is seeking a volunteer to assist with planning a variety of events. This role would include:

  • Managing the planning and implementation process
  • Coordination of vendors

The position will suit an experienced, self-motivated person with exemplary communication skills.

  • Location: Some remote/Some on farm
  • Weekly hours: Flexible

Farm/Stable Volunteer

Social Media Specialist

Special Events Coordinator

Equus CAN Educate is looking for a volunteer with a passion for horses and outdoor physical labor. We would provide training in all areas. This role would include:

  • grooming & caring for horses
  • cleaning stalls & paddocks & barn
  • feeding horses
  • painting fences
  • and more!

The position will suit a flexible schedule and a self-motivated person.

  • Location: On Farm
  • Weekly hours: flexible but scheduled ahead


Social Media Specialist

Social Media Specialist

Equus CAN Educate is looking for a volunteer to help with our social media platform. This role would include:

  • Knowledge of social media
  • Strong writing skills
  • Some graphic design experience desired

This position will suit an individual who enjoys social media engagement.

  • Location: Remote
  • Weekly hours: Flexible/daily updates
